DimeStore Does It is designed to be an outlet for short gags, ideas, and micro-frivolity that can be generally shot and edited within the matter of a day or two. Summing up, it’s something to keep our hands busy.

We try and get our cut of all that internet money we keep hearing about.

Synopsis: A doctor struggles with the idea of his fading wife and all out of options, he takes aid from a door to door elixir salesman. However, the salesman and his results are a little more than the doctor bargained for.

2005:

Miles Levy just found out his girlfriend has been cheating on him. Miles, being a man who loves to wallow in self-pity, goes to his best friend Jeff with his feelings of ill will. Since Jeff has seen this side of Miles one too many times and has walked in on him fully clothed in the shower crying an equal number of times, he feels he has the perfect solution for Miles. However, this plan leaves Miles with more than a bad taste in his mouth.

*The first script Hunter and I wrote and shot together.

2006:

A gruesifying happening on Fourth of July. One veteran seeks revenge on the people and freedoms he fought so hard to protect. The first installment of the Dimestore Films throw-back trailer series. The throw-back trailer series is an homage to the film trailers of the 70′s that were shown between drive-in movies. What we like most about the trailers is that they were practically a feature in and of themselves. There was really no need to go see the movie after seeing this epic five minutes.

2007

Final film for Production 2 class. Also Shot on 16mm and with post sync sound. The story is about a young boy whose parent’s bickering has become so commonplace that he has been desensitized to block it out, hearing only what he wants to hear, until things finally snap.

2008

Second assignment for comedy directing was to make a commercial. Christian chose to finally target America’s number 1 infomercial personality and expose him for beast he really is…..also Lester DesMoine cut him a pretty fat check.

2008
First film for Comedy Directing workshop. The assignment was simply to shoot a sequence using action and reaction to your benefit. The only outline we were given was “this tastes like ________” then reaction. We had to do this twice, once with a positive reaction, once with a negative reaction to the taste. We each then wrote our own scenarios. Here is the result.

2007

Christian’s first film for Production 2 class. Shot on 16mm and with post sync sound. The story is about an out of work and out of luck man who believes an infomercial product will turn things around.
